Warlick Family Reunion 2010Celebrating 281 Years of Warlick family history!August 7 & 8, 2010The Main EventSunday Dinner on the GroundsThis year, as last, we are emphasizing reunion basics with a traditional pot luck dinner on the grounds. The 12:30 PM gathering will be at the Daniel’s Lutheran Church in Lincolnton, NC (see maps on web site “www.TheWarlicks.com”). We will start the festivities with a lot of fellowship and a little light business. (No formal meeting). We will then "roll" into our potluck dinner, which will take place in the new Fellowship Hall at the church. The Warlick family never, ever misses a chance to eat and share our life experiences, and it’s never more evident than in the fellowship we share on Sunday. Let's not "eat, burp and run" but make our plans to stay awhile, sit a spell, and enjoy the company of family. It's a great time to catch up on all the cousins, meet new relatives, and learn more about our history. A few simple rules apply: Bring your best "reunion" dish for sharing with everyone, and plan on hearty appetites. Bring your choice of soft drinks or tea for your family. Our local cousins will furnish dinnerware and ice. This event is over when the last person leaves. Saturday Events Heritage Day at the Warlick Family Reunion We are planning two or three one-hour events for Saturday afternoon related to Warlick family genealogy and our history in the Lincolnton. We hope to include a trip over to the Ramsour Mill Battleground and other activities including a picture taking session in Daniel’s Rock Church. We are planning a Saturday evening dinner in the Fellowship Hall of the Lutheran Church. The Quinlin Moore family of upland South Carolina will be preparing a spaghetti dinner with trimmings. There will be a charge for the meal ($5 for adults; 2.50 for children 7-12 and free to children under 7). Afterwards, we will clean the tables and engage in family entertainment (card games, magic or genealogy). Mike Warlick (Dahlonega, GA) and Phil Warlick (Raleigh, NC) and others will be in Lincolnton on Saturday to accompany out-of-towners on the tour. This would include the Grist Mill, Daniel’s Rock Church, several area grave sites and the Battleground. Bring your jeans, walking shoes and raingear – you may need them. To register for the dinner on Saturday evening, please print the form below, fill out and mail to Phil Warlick.
